Five ways cycling can help improve your mental health

There’s no doubt that this year has had a huge impact on our collective mental wellbeing. One thing that has been made clear though is the benefits of movement and exercise in boosting our mental health; you only have to look at the popularity of The Body Coach’s ‘P.E. with Joe’ series during the first wave of lockdown. Cycling is a great way to improve your mental wellbeing. Our aim with events like CycleFest, which is taking place at Peterborough’s East of England Arena on Saturday, 25th October, is to promote this and show people of all ages and abilities that it’s never too late to get active - cycling really is accessible for all. With tomorrow marking World Mental Health Day, we wanted to take the time to share this post from British Cycling and their top 5 ways in which cycling is a brilliant mood booster and how it can fit easily into your daily routine.
