As you'll no doubt understand everyone here at Mad Hare Events is extremely disappointed that it was necessary to cancel this month’s event due to Covid-19. The team had been working hard over the last few months planning and preparing for the event including site meetings and route recce, sourcing volunteers, venues, medical cover, administrating entries, purchasing participation medals and event communication.
Much of the time and costs associated with running an event are incurred in the weeks and months prior to the event taking place. It’s for that reason our terms and conditions of entry set out the arrangements for event postponement and cancellations.
"17. Mad Hare Events Ltd reserves the right to postpone or cancel any event, due to extreme weather conditions or Force Majeure. In such an event, each participant's entry will be automatically moved to the rescheduled event. If a participant can't make the rescheduled event, they can carry their entry to another event of an equal or lower ticket value within the following 6 (six) month period. No refunds will be issued."

In the light of the ongoing situation regarding the Coronavirus, it is with regret that we decided that it was not going to be possible to reschedule the March event. We have therefore opened up the option of transferring to next year’s Mad March Hare, as well as the Mad Summer Hare which falls within the six-month period
As a small events business, we value the good will of the cycling community particularly in these challenging times. Because of this we are currently working with our partners in order to provide some discounted offers and exclusive benefits for those participants who have missed out on this month’s Mad March Hare. We’ll be up dating our community on these developments shortly.
We really hope to see you at either this September’s Mad Summer Hare event or in 2021 for the Mad March Hare.
However, if you are genuinely struggling to commit at this stage please get in touch and we will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis.
